Social Smarts is reclaiming what should’ve never been negotiable — safety, access, and dignity — and building the tools our communities need to thrive.

We’re a social purpose corporation creating tech and community-driven solutions that support Black and LGBTQIA+ lives, starting with travel safety. Our flagship app, Travel Smart, helps users avoid sundown towns and navigate the world with confidence, while our larger vision includes fighting food insecurity, building safe spaces, and showing up on the ground where the system fails.

We’re not funded by venture capital or corporate interests. We’re bootstrapping through contract work so the only voices shaping this work are the ones using it, because we’re here to serve, not to sell.

This is tech for liberation. This is survival and joy in the same breath. This is Social Smarts.

To build practical, community-informed tools that increase safety, expand access, and redistribute power to those most impacted by systemic violence and neglect.

We’re not just making an app, we’re creating a movement rooted in mutual aid, advocacy, and innovation that doesn’t leave anyone behind.
